Military equipment for the US-Georgia military exercise Noble Partner 2016 has already arrived in Georgia. U.S. M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles were offloaded in Poti Harbor and are on their way to Vaziani.
M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles were loaded in Varna, Bulgaria on May 2 and travelled across the Black Sea by ferry.
Noble Partner 2016 is being conducted in Georgia for the second time in two years, and is aimed at increasing the interoperability with NATO and US forces of Georgia's light infantry company that participates in the NATO Response Force (NRF) and the scenario of the exercise is based on stability/defensive operations.
Noble Partner 2016 includes 1300 - 500 Georgian, 150 United Kingdom and 650 U.S. military service members who are incorporating a full range of equipment, including U.S. M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and C-130 "Hercules" aircraft.
