The Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili took part in a first World Humanitarian Summit . He summarized the summit conducted in Istanbul. He had an unique opportunity to present Georgia's problems from the UN tribune.
"Georgia has a huge number of refugees and IDP's and we had a chance to talk with world leaders about this problem. Naturally we talked about the Khurcha horrible killing too. And we expressed our strict position on this issue. In the frames of the summit we discussed current important questions, the policy of non recognition, the return of refugees and IDP's.
Also very important was the meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for discussion of integration to NATO Alliance, "- Giorgi Margvelashvili said.
On May 23-24 Giorgi Margvelashvili conducted bilateral meetings with heads of different foreign countries in the frames of World Humanitarian summit.
