US Army Gen. John W. "Mick" Nikolson commander of USA and NATO forces in Afghanistan congratulated Georgian Army with oath taking and the Independence Day.
He noted, Georgia plays a very important role since 1918, from the day of obtaining the independence, as a strategic region. For the last 20 years Georgia was USA's strategic partner in peacekeeping military operations in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. Georgia serves for our main goal, he tells, - international peace and stability.
Nikolson underlined that Americans are proud of with the friendship with Georgia. He tells, it is a big honor for him to serve with Georgian soldiers.
