Very favorable conditions and natural environment for the tourism development and doing business are presently in Ajara region. Archil Khabadze, Ajarian government head addressed today with his speech to Slovak investors. They are in Georgia in frames of the official visit of the Slovakian President to Georgia. He called Slovak investors at the Business Forum to make investments in Ajara and disclosed the macroeconomic parameters of the region.
"In 2015 in Ajara USD 366 bn of private investments were made. Out of this figure 76% foreign investors had made. 41% was invested to the energy sector, 34% to tourism and 23% to construction. After the agreement was concluded by Georgian state on the Georgia-EU Association, and the agreement on "free trade area", our country faces a new reality. This agreement opens a huge market for Georgian companies, this denotes a step-by-step integration of our economy to the EU economy. Accordingly, for the future years the trade-economic relations of our country to the EU countries will be a priority. For us very important is a support and sharing of an experience of Slovakian President to our country. At today's Business Forum we have a solid basis to share between our countries the investment potential and support each other in developing new economic and business relations, "- Khabadze noted in his speech at the Business Forum.
The business Forum attended 20 Slovakian businessmen with its activity in different areas (construction, tourism, Banking sector, logistics and others), also 22 private companies acting in Batumi attended the Forum.
