Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgian PM hosted today at the Governmental Administration Chinese guest Zhang Gaoli Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China who is at the same time a head of the Committee of the Silk Road Renovation, a project initiated by the Chinese Republic. The memorandum signed today particularly contains an assurance from Chinese side for supporting Georgia in medical sphere too. China will support Georgia also with USD9.1 bn, the above mentioned sum will be directed for the national healthcare sector. The project envisages also the development of medical infrastructure in break-away regions. .
An extended meeting was held at the Governmental Administration. The sides signed a memorandum. Georgia and China are ready to timely discuss the free trade questions between these countries.
The Trade and Investment Council will be established in China and Georgia, main task of which is to attract investments and develop a trade.
"The agreement is very important and meaningful. According to this agreement, we will establish secretariats of the Council, which will invite representatives of both the private sector and the state. The main task will be to attract investments, develop trade and solve all problems in practical dimensions. It also notes the need for creating tools and conducting seminars, which must be permanent both in China and Georgia, in order to facilitate access of Georgian and Chinese companies to each other's markets", - said Kumsishvili.
