Today in Batumi the Eighth Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe" (EfE) of the United Nations Secretariat (UNECE) has opened. The event organized Georgian Environment Ministry.
Nodar Khaduri, Finance Minister attended the event. Girogi Kvirikashvili, Georgian Prime Minister addressed the audience of the conference. In the frames of two days conference questions of environmental problems will be discussed such as: "Development of Green Economics in pan-European region", the improvement of air for better environment and health.
In the frames of this forum a high-level meeting will be held: "Education for the sustainable development"
The Eighth "Environment for Europe" Ministerial Conference is hosting up to approximately 600 official delegates from the 56 Member States of the of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, European Commission, United Nations organizations and UNECE Secretariat, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations, academia and private sector.
