For the better environment we need financing, accordingly our quality of life will be improved, - Dimitri Kumsishvili, the Economy and Sustainable Development Minister believes. He noted this in Batumi at the Eighth Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe".
Kumsishvili declared, very important is to hold such conferences. "Today we are hosting the Eighth Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe". Up to approximately 600 official delegates from the 56 Member States of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and other are attending the event.
Here we are discussing the questions of environmental problems, such as: "Development of Green Economics in pan-European region", the improvement of air for better environment and health. All this will be directly affected to the well being of our country and people. These questions that we are discussing, very important are, as all this will find its realization in the strategy of our country and in the Action Plans. I would like to note that for us very important is a support that we are getting from EU countries and from other countries. We need to be financed by those countries this is possible for us, "- Dimitri Kumsishvili tells.
The Eighth "Environment for Europe" Ministerial Conference in Batumi is hosting up to approximately 600 official delegates from the 56 Member States of the of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, European Commission, United Nations organizations and UNECE Secretariat, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations, academia and private sector.
