Georgia's Shida Kartli region will have a new governor. Davit Tkeshelashvili, Head of Georgian President's Administration will present Zurab Arsoshvili on post of Shida Kartli governor officially this afternoon.
Arsoshvili, 32, serves as head of National Guards Department of Georgia's Defense Ministry. He is the author of new strategy of National Guards' reserve. Previously, he served as Head of Shida Kartli Regional Investigation Department of Finance Police and as a MP.
Arsoshvili will replace Lado Vardzelashvili on post. Vardzelashvili, who worked as Shida Kartli governor for 3 years was appointed as Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs through the latest reshuffle in the Georgian government.
