Cathalocos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II sent a letter to the World Patriarch and leaders of all churches. The letter is published at the web page of the Georgian Orthodox Patriarchy. The letter reads about a decision of the Georgian Orthodox Church's Holly Synod on a question of Georgia's delegation participation in the meeting of the Eastern Orthodox Church on island Crete.
Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople, Ecumenical Patriarch was informed that according to the decision of the Georgian Holly Synod on June 10 of 2016 the Georgian delegation will not take part in the meeting at island Crete. According to the Patriarch's letter, the reason of such decision is a desire to prevent, at least partially, deepening problems in various questions in the Church.
