Davit Usupashvili, Parliamentary Chair declared that visaliberalization process will not be prolonged much. As he notes his colleagues in Strasbourg, Berlin and Brussels are talking about this.
"I would like to note that in a simultaneous mode a visa free regime is discussed for Turkey too, also with Ukraine and Moldova. In Ukraine and Turkey over 100 mn people are living. In such case the EU countries have different approaches. The situation is much complicated with migrants in Europe, that's why the question of lifting visa for Georgian citizens is delayed. All our colleagues and partners are apologizing for such delay.
They are promising this will not last for many month. Possibly at different levels a decision will be taken, some in June, some in July, September. At this moment there are not any obstacles in this question. For 26 years we are using visa for travelling in Europe, we can wait more 26 days, "- Davit Usupashvili tells.
