Tina Khidasheli, Georgian Defense Minister departed for Brussels with an official visit. NATO headquarters hosts there Defense Ministers meetings.
In the frames of this visit Khidasheli conducts bilateral meetings. At the first day she deliberated on bilateral cooperation with Turkish and Ukraine Defense Ministers. They agreed on future cooperation in defense area.
"A newly appointed Turkish Defense Minister was discussing problems with our delegation. For us always very important is to be well informed and have a good relations with a strategic partner. This introductive ministerial gives us a very good opportunity for meetings and discussions. A newly appointed Turkish Defense Minister fully supports the policy and attitude that we had had for years with Turkish Foreign and Defense Ministers. He supports Georgia, has a friendly attitude and is ready for partnership and cooperation. He will continue all those projects with us that were started before his appointment, "- Tina Khidasheli tells.
Future meetings with the Turkish Defense Minister planned in Batumi and Tbilisi possibly the trilateral meetings will be held together with Azerbaijan delegation. A memorandum on cooperation will be signed.
Tina Khidasheli plans to meet as well with Polish and Croatian colleagues and Deputy Secretary General of NATO.
