The Georgian delegation being with official visit in Brussels will attend Georgia-EU Association Committee second sitting today on June 16. Gigi Gigiadze, Deputy Foreign Minister heads the Georgian delegation. The Committee session will chair the EU party.
The Committee sitting will discuss Georgia-EU cooperation questions, among them Georgia-EU Association Agreements and all main priorities envisaged by the agenda. The reforms pending in Georgia will be discussed, perspectives of the Georgia-EU cooperation in economics, tourism, transport, energy, environment, agriculture, regional development, employment opportunities, social policy, science and technology, education and culture, questions of youth.
The talks will touch also European Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership cooperation questions. The Committee session will pay special attention to the peaceful resolution of conflicts in occupied regions of Georgia, and an important role of EU in this respect
