The meeting is underway between President and representatives of TV companies at the President's Administration. The interparty group initiative is discussed, on new Bill to the Elections Code concerning restrictions for free advertising for political parties at elections period.
Media managers think that the free air time for political parties is distributed irrelevantly. Also it does not reflect the interests of the audience. Neither TV companies' interests in income are reflected.
"Very good is the fact that new amendments are envisaging, this campaign for free advertising time is starting no later than in 50 days, and the present legislation reads this too. But the legislation was leaving a free space in the law and these flaws were successfully exploited by the Regulatory Commission. What about the second part, indeed the advertising time is not growing but, the hourly regulation appears to be here different one. This is very harmful for TV companies, first of all for the general TV net. This is an interference with the freedom of expression and freedom of speech, because the advertising net is a part of the freedom of expression.
