Irakli Sesiashvli, Chair of the Defense and Security Committee tells regarding the decision of Defense Minister on abolition of the compulsory military service: "The decision was taken without any discussion with President, Security Council or Prime Minister".
"Before the expiration of two-week terms she signs such an important document and tells that if the next Defense Minister will dislike it, the report might be abolished. The question was not deliberated with anyone. We are against of the decision."
For information, starting form today the Defense Ministry will not recruit soldiers for the mandatory military service. The report on this was signed by Tina Khidasheli, Defense Minister unilaterally on her meeting with media.
