The Russian delegation of the OSCE PA arrived to Tbilisi. To the questions of broadcaster Rustavi 2, journalists, the Russian politicians are giving its reply. Questions arise in connection to the head of the Russian Delegation, why namely Sergey Narishkin heads this delegation. And second, whether is or not this fact connected to the law on occupation.
The Russian politicians responded to Rustavi 2 journalists that a question of Narishkin was not discussed in connection with his arrival to Tbilisi.
They also noted in addition that Russian delegation upholds the candidacy of Gigi (George) Tsereteli to the post of OSCE PA Presidency.
"We hope that we are not alone in supporting this candidate. He deserves to be a head of OSCE PA, " - Nikolay Kovaliev tells.
For Information, the 25-th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for the first time to be held in Tbilisi on July 1-5. This is a largest international event.
George Tsereteli, Opposition politician (UNM) who currently serves his second term as OSCE PA's vice-president, is one of the candidates of the Assembly presidency, opposed by the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia (GDDG). Nevertheless President upholds his candidacy.
