OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier being with a three-day visit to the South Caucasus region is traveling to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, arrived to Georgia for a working visit today.
During the visit, the German Foreign Minister will meet with President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili. He will also take part in the opening of the annual OSCE Parliamentary Assembly session.
At the briefing with Mikheil Janelidze Georgian Foreign Minister, he noted that Germany and EU are making every effort to get a result as soon as possible in visaliberalization question for Georgia. He underlined that Germany alone cannot decide this question, as the process is connected to some long procedures. " I hope these procedures will be over at the end of July, and a logical accomplishment of the visaliberalisation process we are expecting at the second part of September, " - German Foreign Minister tells
