The political committee of the OSCE PA upheld the draft resolution presented by the Georgian side "The conflict in Georgia". Only three Russian delegates voted against the resolution. The final voting on the draft resolution will be held at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's plenary session tomorrow.
The above mentioned draft resolution: "The conflict in Georgia", is prepared by Parliamentary Speaker Davit Usupashvili. The 17 points document condemns Russian activities in the occupied territories. The document stressed that Russian Federation continues violations of the international norms. The RF disregards the agreement on case fire (August 12 of 2008). The document calls upon the OSCE to "redouble efforts aimed at strengthening its engagement in Georgia, increase its role in the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict, including by promoting reconciliation through implementing confidence-building projects on the ground."
