USA-Georgia Strategic Partnership Charter session was held at the Administration of Georgia's government (state chancellery). Giorgi Kvirikashvili. Georgian Prime Minister in his address speech to John Kerry, USA State Secretary thanked for supporting Georgia and expressed his gratitude in seeing him in our country.
Prime Minister stressed that especially important for Georgia is an increase of the support from USA before the NATO Warsaw summit. He thanked also for upholding Georgia in territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state. Georgia has reached noticeable achievements for presenting at the USA-Georgia's Strategic Partnership Charter plenary session. Kvirikashvili declared he is very glad that today Georgia and USA signed a very important document - a memorandum on deepening of cooperation in defense, security and education. As well new programs are envisaged in frames of the USAID.
The USA State Secretary, paid an attention to the important reforms conducted in Georgia and a support of USA in this respect. On behalf of President Obama he tells he is glad that for 25 years USA stays together with Georgia in its way to independence and democratic reforms. Kerry tells that Georgia deserves a highest honor that this country keeps looking in direction of the West. The actions of this state are not directed to punitive measures and revenge but for the improving of the conditions of own citizens. This deserves a real honor, he tells. Very important reforms were conducted, the forthcoming elections in October greatest event is. The elections will have the biggest influence on the public opinion, this will show to what direction Georgia is going to go.
Now big challenges for the country the state security and defense questions are, Kerry tells. But these questions are challengeable for each of us. That's why for us very important cooperation with Georgia is, in the frames of the memorandums and agreements that were signed today. "We will announce additional measures that we are planning in this respect, "- Kerry tells.
