John Kerry, US State Secretary accomplished his official visit to Georgia (July 6-7). On his departure an official ceremony was held in the Tbilisi International Airport. Mikheil Janelidze, Foreign Minister, Davit Zalkanian, Deputy Foreign Minister and Jan Kelly, USA Ambassador to Georgia were presented at the departure ceremony.
Foreign Minister once more stressed, the visit of the US State Secretary was an expression of a strong support from Washington. The visit was accomplished with a tangible results, and this will strengthen in many directions the strategic partnership cooperation with Georgia.
Mikheil Janelidze tells:"The mere fact that this visit was performed before the Warsaw NATO summit was a very important message from USA that denotes the USA supports Georgia in its aspiration for European and Euro Atlantic integration. We heard a very clear message in upholding Georgia in its sovereignty and territorial integrity. A very important notion was as well the promise of a strong support in Georgia's self-defense capabilities and strengthening of the security. The USAID programs and Fulbright educational programs will be broadened."
