MAKHACHKALA, July 13. (Itar-Tass). Unidentified persons fired at a car driven by deputy chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for the Khasavyurt region Police Major Akhmet Gadzhiyev in Dagestan's city of Khasavyurt.
As ITAR-TASS learnt at the press service of the Interior Ministry of the republic, "the incident occurred on the motor road Khasavyurt- Aksai on Monday night." According to the press service, "Major Gadzhiyev died of bullet wounds on the spot." His passenger was wounded and hospitalized.
The attackers disappeared from the site of the incident. Measures are being taken to search for and detain them.
