The Chief Procurator's Office imposed criminal liability to former high ranks, on a fact of beating and illegal detention of Koba Davitashvili, MP.
The criminal case of beating of the Parliamentarian that happen on November 7 of 2007 at the protest meeting was investigated. As a result of the investigation lawenforcers detected that the Special Forces delivered Koba Davitashvili to the Gori military hospital after his beating, afterwards he was kept in illegal detention.
The plan was organized by being back then Chief Prosecutor - Zurab Adeishvili and Finance Ministry's Revenue Service Head - Davit Karseladze. The penalty for such crime envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years under the GCC (Articles 23 and 143).
Edisher Kobakhidze who was a head of the Special Forces unit also is liable under the criminal legislation.
