Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgian Prime Minister Günter Verheugen former European Commissioner for Enlargement and presently European Commissioner for Enterprise and Industry. The main theme of talks was economic development perspectives and the existing situation at the occupied territory.
Prime Minister introduced the high guest with the current and planned economic reforms in our country. The government-initiated four point reforms plan in economic field was discussed.
The parties also talked on the question of European integration of our country and the lifting of visa regime for Georgian citizens. German guest noted that Georgia achieved very high results in these directions, as a very important reforms were carried out. Now all preconditions are existing in Georgia for expectation of steps from EU in turn. He expressed a hope that Georgian citizens in near future will be able to travel to Europe visa-free.
The parties discussed challenges in a modern world and the existing situation at Russia-occupied territories South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
