The 13-th international conference "Georgia's European Way" is underway now in Batumi. In the frames of this conference Georgian Defense Minister has held bilateral meetings. Tinatin Khidasheli met today with the representatives of the International Visegrad Group [the Visegrad Fund is an international organization based in Bratislava founded by the governments of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries], of the following countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, and the Slovak Republic. She also met with European Affairs Committee chair Anna Borchali (Romania). At the meeting parties discussed the programs of chair countries Poland (EU) and Slovakia(V4).
The countries stressed that they are strongly supporting the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Georgia. They noted a progress that our country reached for the past several years, in terms of democratic development of state institutions. They expressed its hope that Georgia will get soon the visa free regime for EU countries.
At the meeting the parties underlined that at the background of the illegal migration and a resent referendum in UK, in the EU many problems consentrated. Nevertheless, they promised for continuing support for the Eastern Partnership countries and Georgia.
"Only thanks to the diligent work of Romania, our country got string guaranties for Back sea security questions, and the NATO Warsaw summit was successful in this respect. Namely, a year of tireless work of this country makes Georgia a member of this solid base. I take a chance to thank privately the representative of Romania, Mr. Anna. She conducted the Committee meetings in her country and as a result, the Foreign Relations Committee of Romanian Parliament published several resolutions in support of Georgia, "- Tina Khidasheli declared.
Tina Khidasheli stressed that the Black Sea Security conference one of the main priorities for Georgia is and she has hopes, partners will support our country in this direction.
