In the 15th issue of the digital Islamic State magazine "Dabiq" ISIS explains its ideology in recent terror attacks and promises more attacks against Westerners before the 16th issue is released. There appears to be no timetable for the magazine's publication, however. The last issue was released on April 13 and before that, January 19. The latest issue, titled "Break the Cross," begins with this article, explaining ISIS' reasoning for recent terrorism and its call for others to join "the religion of pure monotheism, truth, mercy, justice, and the sword."
In a new report by InterCenter, Michael Weiss reports that after the attack in Normandy, France, the Islamic State has attacked outside of Iraq and Syria nearly every four days since June 8.
The Islamic State Amaq News agency released a video showing Adel Kermiche and Abdel-Malik Nabil Petitjean swearing allegiance to ISIS before murdering Jacques Hamel a French priest taken hostage during Mass at Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.
ISIS Amaq News also released a solo video of Petitjean pledging allegiance to them. The French attack on the priest came as France recovers from a terrorist attack during Bastille Day fireworks celebrations in Nice and after attacks in Germany and Mogadishu that were also claimed by Islamic militants.
