The population of the village of Khvtisi ask for help from authorities. The Tskhinvali occupant regime cut irrigation water supply to the bordering villages about one month ago. The villagers complain they will have no harvest this autumn unless the water problem is solved.
MPs Shota Malashkhia and Jondi Baghaturia and the governor of the Shida Kartli Region met with locals today and listened to their problems. Governor Zurab Arsoshvili said the negotiations had been already launched regarding the reconnection of the villages to the water system.
MP Malashkhia, who chairs the temporary commission for the restoration of Georgia`s territorial integrity in parliament, said they would report the situation in the bordering regions to international community.
MP Baghaturia proposed granting the IDP status to the people residing in the conflict zone`s bordering villages, which will automatically be followed with privileges and allowances to them.
