Being in Odessa at the press conference Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili tells to journalists: "At the August war Sergey Lavrov revealed to Condolezza Raise that an aim of Russian Federation was a total annihilation of Georgia.
"When Russia invaded, at the second day the USA envoy came to me and tells: "Raise asked Lavrov, what was the aim of its invasion to Georgia. And a response was - the total annihilation of Georgia." They wished to annihilate a Georgian nation, and even did not put out of sight this desire," - Saakshvili tells.
Ex-President also tells that one of the main roles Ukraine plays in Georgia's survival. As in Ukraine the Georgian military staff was trained. The Ukraine gave us the air defense systems that had an absolutely crucial role at the very first days of Russian invasion. Also, we got two antimissiles systems, thanks to which we hit 12 Russian bombardier airplanes, among them, strategic TU-22 and M-3.
Such systems never before were crushed by any country.
"When they tell that the initiator of the August war Georgia was, they forget that the Russian Black Sea Fleet left the territorial waters of Ukraine, before the August of 2008, " - Odessa Governor tells.
