"About 16 % of enrollees failed the National Exams. This was estimated as a bad result. But I would not tell this." - Alexander Jejelava, Education Minister tells. He advises the youth people to think about the alternate ways instead of higher education, among them for professional education.
He tells, the higher education is not universal, for all population totally. "Only those who are especially successful in its studies, with a high academic performance are able to continue studies at a higher level. In other countries this figure might be worse than in Georgia - not 16%, but above 25%. This is not an end of life. This is not right. I would like to encourage young people in looking for the alternative ways - the professional education, trainings, and repeated attempts for the future. We have many unemployed lawyers, but for instance we need good veterinarians, agronomist and IT specialists. "
