For the next four years, in Georgia the C hepatitis will be eliminated fully. The national strategy for elimination of the disease for 2016-2020 years will be approved today at the government sitting.
Prime Minister is proud that for the last period thousands of people's life was saved thanks to the program for elimination of the disease. Also many families were saved from the poverty.
The aim of the government is to cure from the C hepatitis 90% of infected people and 95% of ill persons.
The budget of the strategy plan exceeds GEL 116 million, the government budget spends for this GEL57 million. In the frames of this program the Georgian government will be donated USD15 milliards for medications.
