The rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Kastriot Islami and Michael Jensen have wrapped up official visit to Georgia. Within the three day-visit, the PACE envoys met with Georgian MPs, authorities, parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition, nongovernmental organizations and the representatives of international organizations. The rapporteurs discussed ongoing democratic reports, situation in human rights sector and the local government elections held on May 30.
CoE envoys concluded that there was still much to do, however, the last elections were a confirmation that the country keeps on democratic development.
