The First Channel of the Belarus Television has aired an interview with the president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. Georgian president said the demands put forth by the Russian Federation to Georgia were unintelligible for him. The journalist of the Topical Interview put questions to Saakashvili on various issues.
Saakashvili reiterated that Georgian territories were occupied by Russia. He expressed his hope, that despite Russia`s permanent pressure, Belarus would take right and reasonable decision regarding the recognition of Georgia`s breakaway Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region.
Saakashvili said tension between the neighbour countries affected the existence of Russian culture in Georgia.
President`s interview has irked Russia. Russian politicians said it was the aggressive televised revenge against the movies aired on Russian TVs about the president of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko.
