In conversation with GHN, Soso Tsiskarishvili, political scientist tells, we need to use the good neighborhood policy with Russia for restoration of our ties in different spheres. He talked about necessary steps that are to be made in connection with occupied Abkhazia.
"Now Georgian society has to take a principal role for active communications with people at the occupied territories. We need to exploit the existing relations and good neighborhood policy for restoration of relations, without making a mess. Only after conducting such discussions in Tbilisi and Sokhumi, we can talk about different types of communications between people. But if we will show each-other in the light of hatred and animosity this will harm both, the Tbilisi and Sokhumi and gives advantage to the Moscow for control." - Tsiskarishvili tells to GHN.
Tsiskarishvili insists that the air time should be allocated specifically for TV programs from occupied territories to give the people information about events happening there.
"However, till this happen we ourselves have to try to restore communications. We have to give an air time for TV programs to get the factual information about them. Abkhazians also will be able to get information about us, about people who are positively disposed towards Abkhazians."
