Today, European Commissioner for regional policy Johannes Hahn will visit Ukraine to discuss fulfillment of an agreement on a structured dialogue on the regional policy that the EU and Ukraine signed last year.
Johannes Hahn will meet Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Regional Development and Construction Minister Volodymyr Yatsuba, as well as representatives of the civil society.
Johannes Hahn noted on the eve on his visit that the regional policy becomes an important priority of cooperation with Ukraine. In his opinion, it can be very important factor that will help Ukraine strengthen its economic potential. The EU has rich experience that can promote prompt and effective development of the country, he says. He believes that rich Ukraine is a benefit for its citizens, its neighbors and for the European Union.
