Police have arrested four people suspected of money extortion. The police launched investigation in June on the ground of the complaint submitted by the group of auto-parking guards, operating in Tbilisi parking places.
In a few weeks, the investigation identified the people suspected of money extortion of parking guards. Police revealed that the suspects had founded Autoparking LTD without any legal power, which `was in charge of regulating parking in the streets. The suspects forced the parking guards to enrol in the company and pay 20-30 GEL to them daily.
The founders of Auto parking LTD Khvicha Tskepladze, Dimitri Tchelidze , the director of the company, Iuri Barbaqadze and the employee of the same company, Mamuka Aptsiauri. They were charged under the article 181 part II by the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages the term of imprisonment up to 9 years.
