February 25 will be declared as the day of Soviet Occupation of Georgia. The following was unanimously approved at an extraordinary session of the Parliament yesterday.
The Russian Red Army intruded on Georgia's territory and occupied the country on February 25, 1921. The Russian Federation attempted Georgia's occupation in 90s and the August of 2008.
National flag will be lowered and the victims respected with a minute of silence on this day, while 23 August will be announced as the Day of Victims of the Totalitarian Regime.
