Public Christening was performed Saturday in the seaside village of Anaklia, Semegrelo Region. The ritual was held in the vicinity of the occupational borderline of Georgia`s breakaway region of Abkhazia. A lot of people were baptized with blessings of Archbishop of Zugdidi and Tsaishi Eparchy Father Gerasime.
Along with children, old people were also christened in Anaklia today. Citizens of occupied region of Abkhazia also arrived in teh village to participate in the ceremony. Father Gerasime presented crosses and icons to all newly baptized Christians.
