The investigation department of the ministry of finance has arrested the chief of the reorganization and optimization service of the G. Zhvania Paediatric Clinic, Bachana Chigogidze. The preliminary investigation concluded that he was permanently extorting half of the salary from one employ, otherwise he threatened to dismiss the person.
Chigogidze was detained when he was extorting 50 GEL from an electrician of the clinic for the job done from personal order.
The investigation is in progress. Chigogidze may face from 2 to 4 years in prison.
