Elguja Kvaratskhelia, 45, murdered his neighbour, 14-year-old Roman Kokaia in the town of Zugdidi, Samegrelo Region. A skirmish occurred between Roman Kokaia and Elguja Kvaratskhelia`s son became the reason for the murder.
Kvaratskhelia interceded for his son and visited the Kokaia family as if for a talk with Roman. When he was invited into the home, Kvaratskhelia unexpectedly stabbed the teenager twice into his back with a kitchen-knife. One of the wounds was inflicted too close to the heart that turned out fatal.
Roman Kokaia was transported to hospital, although he had already died at the scene. Elguja Kvaratskhelia managed to disappear from the scene of the crime. Investigation has been launched.
