Police detained two citizens of Georgia in the city of Bodrum, Turkey. The suspects were trying to rob a jewellery store. The both of them have been taken to the police department.
Representatives of the Georgian consulate in Turkey said at first employees of teh store detained the Georgian citizens and later gendarmeries arrived at the scene.
Georgian Vice Consul Gela Japaridze says the Consulate will protect the detainees` rights and give them relevant assistance.
This is the sixth time, Georgian tourists have been detained in Turkey, after the seaside season opened.
