Book titled Hero has been devoted to the 169 soldiers killed in teh Russian aggression in August 2008. The main purpose of the book is to tell about lives and details of heroism of each hero fallen in the war.
Presentation of teh new book was held in Theatre of Musical Drama and Comedy in Tbilisi on Friday evening. Family members and mothers of the killed soldiers were attending the presentation. Guest were wearing badges of red poppies attached to their chests at the presentation. Red Poppy has already become a general symbol of memory.
`It is very important that our society know the heroes who sacrificed themselves to the highest values that is homeland and others` life. It is very important to have this book published, because Georgia has had plenty of heroes during the thousands of years of its history, but not many of them had been personified before`, State Minister and Vice premier of Georgia Giorgi Bramidze said.
