Representative of Russian opposition parties and public movements held Sunday a supporting rally for Georgia in the town of Gori. Andrei Nekrasov, Oleg Panphilov and other opposition members and public figures delivered- speeches in the centre of the town.
Prior to that, they held a press conference and called on the Russian army to leave the Georgian territory. They said, with the August war, Putin`s Russia showed its genuine face and proved that there is no democracy in the country.
After the rally, the Russian opposition memebers laid wreathes on tombs of Georgian soldiers killed in the war.
`Two years ago, my country occupied little Georgia. Unfortunately, Russian media realizes this only now. In result of this, we have the European map changed. And unfortunately, the world does not adequately response to that fact`, Andrei Nekrasov said.
