Events devoted to the second anniversary of the Russia-Georgia war in August 2008 continue in the town of Gori in Shida Kartli Region. Civil rites were served in all acting churches of Shida Kartli since morning.
Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri also arrived in Gori, where he attended several events.
Young people formed a human chain around Gori Fortress. Along with them, Georgian Minister for Refugees and Accommodation and Governor of Shida Kartli were also standing in teh chain. From the fence of the fortress later white doves were released as a symbol of peace.
Today, internally displaced people signed a Message to the Civilized World. In the symbolical document they demand to return to their homes.
