Public discussion of the constitutional amendments continues. The details of the projects have been presented at the State Technical University at the moment. Professor-lecturers are attending the event. Parliament speaker Davit Bakradze is explaining the details of the amendments to the listeners.
`The new model of rule according to these amendments, stipulates that the political party, which wins the parliamentary elections, will be authorized to appoint the members of the cabinet. This is a very serious change, it provides growth of the parliament`s authorities and the reduction of the president`s rights. I don`t think that any politician will have reason to boycott parliamentary elections under such legislation,` Davit Bakradze said.
Similar discussion is underway at the parliament. The representatives of the national association of local self-governments have been invited to the presentation.
