For the first time in the history of Georgian basketball, Georgian national team will take part in the 2011 European Championship - the decision was taken by the International Basketball Federation at the congress held in Turkey.
Under the decision of the FIBA, Georgia will be among those 24 countries, which will play in the European Championship in 2011. The championship will be held in Lithuania.
