Foreign Minister of Georgia, Grigol Vashadze discussed partnership and cooperation issued between Georgia and Estonia at the meeting with the Estonian Foreign Minister, Urmas Paet today. After the closed-door meeting, the minister briefed for media.
Georgian minister said they discussed all issues that are topical in Georgia-Estonia partner relations.
`Actually, at the meeting today we discussed all those issues, which refer to bilateral relations. We spoke about the joint activities in international organizations and the assistance, which Estonia demonstrates in the process of Georgia`s integration into European structures,` Grigol Vashadze said.
The Estonian Minister began his speech with expressing condolence on the death of Georgian officer in Afghanistan and hailed Georgia`s participation in the Afghanistan peace mission.
`I am sure that Georgian contribution to international mission in Afghanistan is absolutely important from international security point of view and also it`s a very clear political message or signal from Georgian society that thousands of your soldiers are participating in NATO`s most important international mission. It is very clear political signal for Estonia, as the NATO member state,` Estonian Minister said and added that cooperation between Georgia and Estonia would intensify after the two governments signed several new agreements about social security.
