Speaker of Georgian parliament, Davit Bakradze met with the leaders of the New Rights Party to discuss the constitutional amendments and listen to the remarks the opposition party had about the document.
The leader of the non-parliamentary opposition party, Davit Gamkrelidze said they focused on the issue of abolishing organic laws, as the draft constitution stipulates. He said it was an acceptable decision and called upon the speaker to support maintaining the Tax and Labour Codes as organic laws, which would guarantee better protection of investors, entrepreneurs and workers in the country.
Speaker said it was not necessary to take any specific decisions at similar meeting, but he hailed the fact that politicians of different political visions could negotiate on various issues in an official environment.
At the moment, parliament speaker is meeting with the leaders of the industrialists` Party.
