The ambassadorial organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia will be over today. At today`s meeting held in the Hotel Radisson, the heads of Georgian diplomatic missions abroad listened to the reports of the Minister of Finance Kakha Baindurashvili and the Minister of Probation and Legal Assistance, Khatuna Kalmakhelidze.
Finance Minister reported the key priorities of the government`s fiscal policy to the ambassadors and emphasized the necessity to work with the investors. Minister said the diplomatic authorities should be aware of all basic directions of the new Tax Code of Georgia in order to provide foreign investors with the detailed information about the business environment in the country and make it attractive for them.
The Minister of Probation Khatuna Kalmakhelidze introduced the reforms which were carried out and which were still underway in the penitentiary system. She said the reforms were successful and the system was eventually meeting European standards.
`It is very important that we have contacts with similar state offices in various countries in order to share experience of reforming the penitentiary system. I also spoke about the significance of international support to the reforms in order to carry out this process correctly and perfectly,` Khatuna Kalmakhelidze said.
