Prime Minister Nika Gilauri will present a new minister of Health, Social Care and Labour at the session of the government today. Sandro Urushadze, who has been working as the deputy minister since August13, 2010, will assume the office of the minister today.
Sandro Urushadze has an experienced worker of the health care sector. In 2005-2006, he chaired a department in the ministry and then worked as the expert of the health care policy of the government. From 2007, he chaired the Social Service Agency of the Ministry before assuming the office of the deputy minister.
Previous minister, Aleksandre Kvitashvili, resigned on August 31 as he accepted the offer to work as the rector designate of the Tbilisi State University. Since then the first deputy, Irakli Giorgobiani fulfilled the duties of the minister.
