Police have arrested an organized crime group suspected of theft. The workers of the Kvartsiti ltd. Maizer Kaphlanishvili, Soso Samsonashvili, Ivane Sukhishvili, Ramaz Martiashvili, Giorgi Kopaliani, Avtandil Gujejiani, Akaki Gabidzashvili, Zviad Basilashvili, used to steal the ground from the company deposit in Kazreti settlement, Bolnisi district, which they would take to a goldsmith. The members of the gang used to sell the refined gold afterwards. The chief of the factory shift, Raul Tsiphiani, and the goldsmith, Tamaz Mchedlishvili have been also arrested for collaboration with the suspects.
The investigation is in progress; the suspects may face 6-10 year sentences.
