President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The President stressed the importance of the Hungarian Premier`s visit in terms of discussing the bilateral relations, which, he expressed confidence, would continue to develop, informs GHN referring to AzerTAc.
Hungary`s Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed confidence his visit would mark fruitful discussions on the current state of and prospects for the bilateral relations.
They stressed the importance of the AGRI project in terms of strengthening energy cooperation among the participating states.
They also emphasized the significance of the Azerbaijan-Hungary relations as part of cooperation within the European Union. They said there was good potential to develop the two countries` relations in a variety of areas, in particular the humanitarian one.
Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev met Monday Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili.
The sides expressed satisfaction with development of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.
They stressed the importance of the meeting of the Azerbaijani, Georgian, Romanian presidents and Hungarian Prime Minister to be held in Baku.
They also expressed assurance that the AGRI project would contribute to ensuring energy security of Europe and strengthening the regional cooperation.
Ilham Aliyev has met also Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu.
The successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania in political, economic and other spheres was stressed during the meeting.
The importance of meetings of heads of state and reciprocal visits was underscored in terms of expansion of bilateral ties.
They also underlined the importance of tomorrow`s meeting of the Azerbaijani, Georgian, Romanian presidents and Hungarian Prime Minister.
