The pesident of the Georgian Judo Federation has resigned - Dilar Khabuliani told journalists after the meeting with the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Lado Vardzelashvili.
Khabuliani explained that his decision was not tied with the incident that occurred at the World Championship in Tokyo, but with the unhealthy situation in the federation. He said he made a resignation decision two months ago.
As for the scandal of the Georgian wrestler Irakli Tsirekidze, who was excluded from the championship due to negligence, he said the chief coach, Amiran Totikashvili should be held accountable for it. Totikashvili resigned on September 18.
